| TITLE: | CLAIMS TECHNICIAN I |
| LOCATION: | Statewide–Six vacancies in Jackson County and six vacancies in Cole County. Applications are being accepted for the purpose of maintaining registers of eligibles who would be available for employment as vacancies occur in other offices around the state with the Division of Employment Security agencies. |
| ANNUAL SALARY: | $27,660.00 - $38,700.00 |

DEFINITION: This is entry-level interviewing and related technical work in the unemployment insurance program of the Employment Security program.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Two or more years of experience as an Employment Security Deputy, Claims Examiner, or Contributions Deputy with the Missouri Division of Employment Security.
OR
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: social sciences, Education, or Public or Business Administration.
(Technical or professional experience in the fields of social service, social welfare, education, community organization, or a closely related field may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)
(Technical or professional experience in business, personnel, or public administration involving public contact may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)
(Clerical experience with the Missouri Division of Employment Security at or above the Senior Office Support Assistant level may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)
EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.
