TITLE: LAND SURVEYOR-IN-TRAINING (4800) ANNUAL SALARY: $36,204.00 - $51,744.00
  LAND SURVEYOR I (4801) ANNUAL SALARY: $39,036.00 - $57,324.00
  LAND SURVEYOR II (4802) ANNUAL SALARY: $42,936.00 - $62,400.00

LOCATION: Statewide-Applications are being accepted for the purpose of maintaining registers of eligibles who would be available for employment as vacancies occur with Merit System agencies. These classifications may be used by agencies in various locations throughout the State. When vacancies occur, the names of eligibles available for employment in the county where the vacancy is located will be certified in grade order for employment consideration.

LAND SURVEYOR-IN-TRAINING DEFINITION: This is entry-level land survey work locating land boundaries and boundary corners, for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a certificate of enrollment as a Land Surveyor-In-Training issued by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects.

EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.


LAND SURVEYOR I DEFINITION: This is entry-level professional land survey work locating the corners and lines of the United States Public Land Survey System (USPLSS) and the various subdivisions of the USPLSS, for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Registration with the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects as a Land Surveyor.

EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.


LAND SURVEYOR II DEFINITION: This is senior-level professional land survey work locating the corners and lines of the United State Public Land Survey System (USPLSS) and the various subdivisions of the USPLSS, for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Two or more years of experience as a Land Surveyor I with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and, registration with the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects as a Land Surveyor

OR

Four or more years of experience as a licensed professional Land Surveyor; and, registration with the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Landscape Architects as a Land Surveyor.

EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.
