TITLE: LAND SURVEY SPECIALIST I (4754) ANNUAL SALARY: $26,004.00 - $36,204.00
  LAND SURVEY SPECIALIST II (4755) ANNUAL SALARY: $30,264.00 - $42,936.00

LOCATION: Statewide - Applications are being accepted for the purpose of maintaining registers of eligibles who would be available for employment as vacancies occur with Merit System agencies. These classifications may be used by agencies in various locations throughout the State. When vacancies occur, the names of eligibles available for employment in the county where the vacancy is located will be certified in grade order for employment consideration.

LAND SURVEY SPECIALIST I DEFINITION: This is technical work managing land records for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following:  Business or Public Administration, Education, Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.

OR

Four or more years of technical or clerical experience above the entry level in land survey or land records management; and possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Education, Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a closely related area may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year.)

EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.


LAND SURVEY SPECIALIST II DEFINITION: This is technical and supervisory work managing land records for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: One or more years of experience as a Land Survey Specialist I with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System.

OR

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following:  Business or Public Administration, Education, Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field; and,

One or more years of technical experience in land survey or land records management or closely related areas.

(Technical or clerical experience above the entry level in land survey or land records management may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.)

EXAMINATION COMPONENT: Rating of Education and Experience, 100%.
