Technology Awards

IT Recognition Award

Scope

This award is intended to recognize either technical or non-technical individuals or teams who have shown initiative, creative thinking, and/or extraordinary effort by participating in an IT initiative that has resulted in a positive impact and significant value to an agency and/or the state IT community.

Criteria
  • The initiative outcome positively impacts and provides significant value to an agency and/or state IT community.
  • The initiative result occurred within six months of the award submission.
  • The nomination may be submitted by any individual within an agency with the approval of that agency’s IT director.
Award Committee

An award committee will be comprised of the current chair and vice-chair of the Information Technology Advisory Board (ITAB) and the Chief Information Officer. This Committee will review the appropriateness of the nomination based on the criteria of the award.

 
Nominations

Anyone, with the approval of their agency IT director, may nominate an individual or team for the award by submitting the “Missouri IT Recognition Award” nomination form to the CIO, Information Technology Services Division, Truman Building, Room 280.  The nomination will be forwarded to the current chair of the ITAB.  The chair will then meet with the award committee to review the nomination.  Nominators will be advised of their nomination status within 30 days of receipt.

Presentation

Upon approval of the nomination, the award will be presented at the monthly Information Technology Advisory Board meeting.  The chair of the Information Technology Advisory Board, CIO, or higher authority will make the award presentation to the recipient(s).  A press release and website announcement of the award will be made by the Information Technology Services Division.
