SAM II Employee Timekeeping and Reportingy

Recipients:

Mary Anne Flesch, Missouri State Public Defender Office

Award Recipient, Mary Anne Flesh

Project Description

With the implementation of the SAM II HR system came the need to electronically report and record employee time. The Public Defender Office’s current paperless timekeeping system, designed and programmed by Mary Anne, calculates leave time and electronically submits it into the SAM II system with extremely limited manual intervention. All employees enter their daily record of time into the time sheet, which is approved by supervisors utilizing electronic signatures.

Mary Anne has given multiple presentations on this timekeeping system and has shared the database and programming code with many other state agencies.  This willingness to share with other information technology staff throughout state government has significantly reduced the time and cost of delivery for similar agency solutions and certainly makes her a deserving recipient of the “Making a Difference” award
