Project Description

This team developed and fielded the application that allows many citizens to file and pay state income tax online.  This application is a significant step in delivering e-government service to citizens.  This addition to electronic filing methods will save citizens time and effort in filing and will offer the option to file taxes around the clock.  The Webfile application is a pioneer effort by an in-house development tem composed of Department of Revenue and State Data Center experts using our mainframe computing resources in a web server environment.  Several thousand citizens have filed their taxes using this method.  The innovation, hard work, and team spirit of this team is distinctive and the individuals should be recognized for their significant contributions in serving Missouri citizens.
