Amtrak

Amtrak is a viable option when traveling to Jefferson City from Kansas City or St. Louis. State of Missouri employees receive a 15% discount on all trips for official or personal use. Call 800-USA-RAIL for reservations and mention the Fares Order # X-537 (Intra-State Missouri Government Employee Discount). Proof of state employment must be given. Government discounts are not given on Amtrak's web site.
