Missouri Citizens' Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials to Hold Public Hearing

Jefferson City - The Missouri Citizens' Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials will conduct a hearing on Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The Commission will meet at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, 200 West 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105.

Citizens are invited to submit comments during the hearing in writing or in person. Those who wish to speak should be brief so everyone who wishes to provide comment has the opportunity within the two hour time frame.

Comments received during the 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. hearing will be considered when the Commission prepares its schedule of compensation for elected officials. Pursuant to Article XIII Section 3 of the Missouri State Constitution, the Commission will publish the schedule of compensation by Dec. 1, 2006.
